Refund
Policy

Our policy on refunds for ticket purchases and paid voting on the EventVault platform.

Last updated: 15 May 2025

1. Overview

EventVault facilitates payments between event organisers and their attendees or fans. Refund eligibility depends on the type of purchase and the organiser's individual refund policy, which is set at the event level.

2. Ticket Refunds

Organiser-Cancelled Events

If an organiser cancels an event, all ticket purchasers are entitled to a full refund of the face value of their ticket. EventVault will process these refunds automatically and return the platform fee to the organiser's escrow balance.

Attendee-Initiated Refunds

Refund eligibility for attendee-initiated requests is determined by the organiser's refund window displayed on the event page at time of purchase. EventVault does not override organiser refund policy except in cases of fraud or event cancellation.

Processing Time

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days depending on the payment gateway.

3. Voting Refunds

Paid votes are generally non-refundable once cast, as they represent a fan choice in a live contest. Exceptions apply if:

4. Platform Fee Refunds

EventVault's platform fee is refunded to the organiser's escrow balance in cases where the underlying transaction is fully refunded.

5. How to Request a Refund

Ticket buyers should contact the organiser directly via the event page. If the organiser is unresponsive within 7 days, contact support@eventvault.com with your order reference and we will mediate.

6. Disputes

In the event of a dispute between an attendee and an organiser, EventVault's decision on refund eligibility is final. We reserve the right to issue refunds and deduct the amount from the organiser's escrow balance in cases of clear policy violation.
